Once again, we will have our ever popular photo contest.  Pictures can be taken any time on the lake.

Take pictures of kids and pets, family events etc and enter them in the Life at the Cottage Category.

The never ending beauty of our lake, good weather and stormy, on the water or in the woods, any season of the year are all subjects that could be entered in the Beautiful Lake category.

Starting in mid June, you can upload these pictures to our online photo albums.  Comments are available at the bottom of each picture to credit the photographer and caption the picture

    Contest closes December 31.

21 years ago, GPCA organized the first Canoe for Cancer.  There are some members who have faithfully canoed every year!  Many more are involved as paddlers, and volunteers.   Last year, due to Covid-19, we were unable to put on this event, and I am sure that the Cancer Society  missed our participation.

Put this event on your calendar and follow our posts for more details. Let's have everybody join us in some way!

The O'Hara Literacy Contest was named for Eliza O'Hara.  Eliza, a school teacher at the Big Chute school, died in 2005.  Her memory lives on in this contest that encourages children to write about their cottage experiences.

We are looking for our young creative writers.  Send us in a story, poem or other creative writing.  Entries will be published in our yearly magazine.  Cash prizes will also be awarded.
