Since 1918

GPCA was created in 1918 to create a community so that  cottagers would get to know each other and help protect their properties from theft and vandalism.  The "getting to know your neighbour" is still a big part of the Cottagers' Association, but also  GPCA provides activities and events to enhance the cottage experience.

We have a community hall which was built in 1969.   In 2018  we did construction to firstly replace the piers to make it structurally sound, and then started on cosmetic repairs which should make it a safe and clean hall to meet and have activities for the families in our community. Dock repairs in the past few years have not kept up with the aging of the docks.  Safe docks are needed so that the hall may be used without danger to our members.  As every cottage owner knows, docks are not an inexpensive project.

We need your help!  Help in terms of volunteer time to support our activities.  But also help in the form of financial donations towards the expenses of the community hall renewal.

For a limited time we are running a promotion.  Donations of $100 will be given 15 extra tickets on the member draw.  Donations of $500 will be given 25 tickets plus 2 GPCA Coffee Mugs.  Members who donate will be recognized on a plaque in the GPCA Hall and in a future magazine.  If you prefer your donation to be anonymous, be sure to let us know.
