Biography:  Katherine Yamashita has been an art educator for over 30 years now, but she has been a serious potter for the last ten years.   She also loves painting, drawing, and woodworking.
Her work is mostly created on the wheel, but Katherine has recently been exploring hand-building and sculptural forms.
She is inspired by Shoji Hamada, Nature, and a contemporary function vs design aesthetic.
