Canoe for Cancer is a 13km paddle by canoe or kayak from Big Chute Marine Railway to Port Severn Park. Anyone is welcome to join and help to raise funds to help Cure Cancer!

There will be a stop along the way at the Gloucester Pool Community Hall in Burrows Bay to pick up snacks and water. Safety boats will be along the route to help provide assistance as needed by paddlers.

Date: Annually - on the Saturday before Labour day weekend.

Start location: Big Chute Marine Railway, 7001 Upper Big Chute Rd, Coldwater, ON L0K 1E0
End Location: Port Severn Park, 39 Minten's Ln, Port Severn, ON L0K 1S0
Registration Time: 8:30 am, Big Chute Marine Railway, Upper side
Paddle Commences: 9:30 am
Approximate Paddle Distance: 13 km (Paddlers are not required to complete the entire distance) We have included a route map for anyone interested in the exact route along with photos of channel markers which you will need to follow during the route.
Equipment: Please bring your own Canoe, Kayak, Paddleboard, etc., paddle(s), life jacket, safety kit, sunscreen, hat.
The stop location is at the GPCA Community Hall where you will be able to pick up a snack and water. Please refer to the route map for the approximate location and the photos for one which the picture of our clubhouse. If you reach a marker S55-1 you have passed the clubhouse.
